Between the covers of the small book "Of My Life", first published in 1999 by the French publisher Minuit, are all the extended interviews that the legendary French playwright and writer Bernard-Marie Koltès gave to the press.

These interviews span a short yet fruitful period between 1983 and 1989, from Koltès' first collaborations with director Patrice Chéreau, who premiered many of his plays on stage, to his untimely death from AIDS.

The book reads, as Alain Prique, one of Koltès' interviewers, wrote, like the author's unintentional autobiography; although the texts are not exclusively his, he reviewed and supplemented them as needed.

The book was translated by Suzana Koncut, with a foreword by director Ivica Buljan, who has directed the most Koltès plays in Slovenia to date.

Join us for the book launch of "Of My Life: Interviews (1983–1989)" by Bernard-Marie Koltès on Friday, February 14, at 7 PM at MGL Studio! 📚✨

The evening will feature readings by Nataša Tič Ralijan and Joseph Nzobandora Jose, followed by a conversation with translator Suzana Koncut and theater theorist Roko Vevar. Moderated by editor Petra Pogorevc.
